HIRAM, Ohio – For the first time in his career, junior Kelvin Jones was named to D3hoops.com's Team of the Week, announced the website on Tuesday morning.
The center is arguably the biggest offensive threat on the Terrier roster. Jones has recorded a double-double in every game this season and currently leads all of Division III in field goal percentage (.837). He also ranks seventh in the Nation in points per game (27.3).
Last week, Jones averaged 29.5 points and 13 rebounds over the course of two games, shooting .807 from the field. He recorded 28 points and 11 rebounds against Geneva (Pa.) in addition to the 31 points and 15 rebounds that he tacked on against La Roche (Pa.).
Jones and the rest of the Terriers will be back in action on Wednesday when they host nonconference rival Mount Union at 7 p.m.
