The Hiram College Cheer/STUNT program will participate in its first collegiate season of competition, starting on Sunday afternoon in Grand Rapids Mich.
Given a full year to recruit following the announcement of the addition of the sport to Hiram's campus, second-year coach Samantha Campbell brought in an intital recruiting class of 17. Currently the roster stands at 21 athletes; including 13 freshmen, seven sophomores and one junior, who come from four different states (California, Michigan, Ohio and Texas).
The squad will open the season on the 27th of January with matchups against Olivet College, Riverside Community College and Michigan State University.
Following their opening weekend, the Terriers will have their first home meet in Price Gymnasium, as they host Tiffin University and Olivet on Sunday, February 3.
Hiram will play two additional road dates (February 17 & February 24), and hold one more date at home (March 15), before wrapping up the season.
