HIRAM, Ohio – June 25, 2025 – Hiram women's wrestling welcomed
Emilee Demann as its assistant coach beginning in 2025-26, an exciting addition for a team that is set to begin its fifth season of competition, the first of which will have women's wrestling as an NCAA-sponsored sport.
Demann joined the Terriers following a standout career at the University of Saint Mary (Leavenworth, KS | NAIA) through the spring of 2024. The Rifle, CO native was a two-time NAIA national qualifier throughout her career with the Spires.
In high school, Demann was a Colorado state qualifier and a two-time Fargo qualifier. She also was a senior airman with the US Air Force prior to joining the Terriers.
Demann will work alongside head coach
Christy Powell, who spearheaded the Terriers to an AMCC title in 2024-25 and has led three national qualifiers in each of the last two seasons. Hiram's upcoming season is slated to start on October 24 with the Blue and Red Dual (exhibition), with the first official competition being the Tiffin Open on Saturday, November 1.
