ADA, Ohio - March 8, 2025 - Hiram's Gavin Dunn put himself in position to make the NCAA Indoor Championships on Saturday at the ONU Final Qualifier, while the rest of the Terriers men's and women's rosters both performed well in one of the final indoor meets of the season across all of Division III.
Men's Recap
Dunn beat his previous program record in the long jump, recording a mark of 7.25m (23' 9.50") to rank first among the 12 competitors. That mark beat his previous record from the All-Ohio Indoor Championships (7.20m).
The freshman from Apopka, FL is now tied for 11th in the national rankings in the long jump, which gives him a great chance at qualifying for the national event on Friday, Mar. 14 in Rochester, NY.
Kevin Dycks was next to print his name in the record book, adding to his 200-meter dash record with a time of 7.06 in the 60-meter dash. He beat his teammate, Nathan Feltner, who ran a 7.20 at the start of the indoor season.
Sebastian Regalado ran a 9.14 in both prelims and the finals of the 60-meter hurdles, while Karmran Walton posted a mark of 53.34 in the 400-meter dash. The final event for the team was the 4x400 relay team of Walton, Dycks, Kyle Filkill and DeAco Curry (3:35.27).
Women's Recap
Karalyn Rutkowski competed in the high jump, nearing her personal record (1.61m) with a clip of 1.54m. Lillian O'Bryant capped off the field events in the weight throw (10.53m).
Sophomore Makyndree Smith also was in on the action on Saturday, running a 9.72 and 9.86 in the 60-meter hurdles.

Dunn will now await his final positioning in the national rankings for the long jump, with the NCAA Indoor Championships scheduled for Friday in Rochester, NY.
