With September coming to a close, the Terriers sports teams will begin October with hosting several home events this week. Football, men's soccer, women's soccer and volleyball will all have home events. Women's soccer, volleyball and both golf teams will also be competing on the road.
Hiram traveled to Greencastle, Indiana to face DePauw over the weekend. The Tigers defeated the Terriers 66-17. Hiram is now 1-2, 1-1 NCAC on the season.
This Saturday, the Terriers will battle Wabash at 1 p.m. Last season, Hiram lost to Wabash by a score of 38-0.
The Terriers went 0-1-1 last week. Hiram faced Otterbein on Wednesday, which resulted in a 1-1 tie. The Terriers then dropped a 0-2 loss at Wooster on Saturday in their conference opener.
Hiram will have only one match is week. The Terriers will host Denison on Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
The Terriers are coming off of home and road matches. Hiram hosted Bethany (W.Va.) on Tuesday and traveled to Wooster on Saturday for their conference opener. The Terriers defeated Bethany (W.Va.) 3-0 and lost to Wooster 3-1.
The Terriers will travel to Westerville to face Otterbein on Wednesday and then host Denison on Saturday at 5:30 p.m.
Hiram went 1-2 last week. The Terriers defeated local opponent John Carroll in a 5-set thriller on Tuesday, but lost to Wittenberg and DePauw (Ind.) in their first two conference matches of the season.
The Terriers will first battle Oberlin on Wednesday at 7 p.m. and then travel to Gambier to face Kenyon at 1 p.m.
Both Terrier golf teams will be competing throughout the week. The men's team will be competing in the Westminster (Pa.) Fall Invitational at the New Castle Country Club on Monday. The women's team will be competing in the Yellow Jacket Invitational at the Grey Hawk Golf Club on Saturday and Sunday.
