Howell enters his second season as an assistant coach with the Terriers men’s lacrosse program.
Prior to joining the Terriers, Howell spent two years working with the Western Michigan University athletic department as a member of the sports marketing event staff.
Howell began his coaching career at Kalamazoo College as an assistant coach for the Hornets men’s lacrosse program. During his two-year tenure with the Hornets, the team earned the program’s first-ever Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association victory in 2018 and finished with a 3-4 mark in conference play.
With the Hornets, Howell helped coach one of his mid-fielders to Second-Team All-MIAA honors, the first player in program history to garner an all-conference selection.
Alongside coaching, Howell served as the Program Operations Assistant for the Baltimore Breakers Lacrosse Club. He also interned with the World Series of Youth Lacrosse as the Director of Statistics & Social Media.
Howell earned his bachelor’s degree in recreation and sports management from Western Michigan University in 2017 and is currently pursuing his master’s degree in interdisciplinary studies at Hiram College.
