Ari Ross joined the Hiram College Terriers in September 2019 as the Director of Sports Information. Ross comes to Hiram from Monroe College in the Bronx, N.Y., where he served as the Sports Information Director/Play-by-Play Broadcaster from July 2018 to August 2019.
In his role with the Terriers, Ross is responsible for all aspects of athletic communications for the Hiram College Athletic Department, including: the Hiram Terriers website, press releases and feature stories, social media, in-game statistics, web streaming and other game day communications and operations activities.
Previously, Ross also served as the Assistant Sports Information Director/Play-by-Play Broadcaster with Monroe from October 2017 to July 2018, helping with all aspects of athletic communications for both the Mustangs and the Express, as well as serving as the "Voice of the Monroe Mustangs" on the Mustangs Sports Network.
Prior to joining Monroe, Ross spent a season with the Sioux Falls Canaries in the American Association as the Broadcast/Media Relations Assistant. With the Canaries, Ari performed various media relations tasks including writing game stories and press releases, putting together and distributing game notes, stat-packs, and lineup cards, and updating social media and the Canaries’ website as well as broadcasting the pre-and post-game and three innings of all Canaries home games and select road games.
Ross graduated from Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill. with a Bachelor of Science in Journalism, along with a double major in Economics and a certificate in Integrated Marketing Communications in June 2017. Ross is a native of Shaker Heights, Ohio.
