Oct.27-Brockport, N.Y. - The Hiram College volleyball team offensively outshined Keuka, earning a 3-0 victory on the first day of the Brockport Invitational on Friday evening.
The Terriers had 28 kills, 11 service aces and hit .351 as a team.
Hiram took the three sets by 25-17, 25-15, and the largest lead of 25-10.
Freshman Kiara Franks led the offense with eight kills and a dig.
Freshman setter Lindsey Walker showed off the versatility her game totaling 14 assists with four kills and two digs.
Freshman Kayla Cole opened up the first set by rattling off seven straight service points and tallying two of her three service aces.
The Terriers recorded 11 kills while hitting .500 in the second set.
Franks had a strong second set tallying five of her kills of the game.
Senior Grace Wilson put the nail in the coffin with a set-winning kill, totaling four on the night.
Freshman Lindsey Stahl led the defense with nine digs and two service ace.
Hiram will continue to play at the Brockport Invitational on Saturday as they square off against SUNY-Canton and host SUNY-Brockport (N.Y.). Those games are slated for 2 pm and 4 pm, respectively.
