ALLIANCE, OHIO  --  The Hiram College women's lacrosse team was defeated by the University of Mount Union, 17-0, in a non-conference game in Alliance.

Mount Union (3-1) jumped out early scoring four goals in the first three minutes of the first half.  The Purple Raiders then held Hiram (2-3) scoreless the remainder of the opening period while adding seven more goals to boast an 11-0 lead at the intermission.

In the second half, Mount Union continued its dominating play scoring six goals in the final 30 minutes to go on to post the 17-0 overall victory.

In net for Hiram, freshman Rebecca Greenhouse (Pittsburgh, Pa./Winchester Thurston) played all 60 minutes making 10 saves in 27 shots faced.

Hiram is scheduled to host Wilmington College on Saturday, Mar. 23 in a non-conference game at Charles A. Henry Field.  The game is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
