Oct. 8 - WOOSTER, Ohio - Continuing to improve over the course of her first season, Hiram College women's golfer, Kathi Kline, once again led the way for the Terriers at the Eva Shorb Weiskopf Invite, hosted by the College of Wooster on Saturday and Sunday.
The Terrier's first-year player has constantly improved her 36-hole scores over the span of her first three tournaments. Kline opened her career with an even 200, before dropping her two-day total to 197.
This week, Kline dropped that score even further, besting her career-low by eight strokes and finishing the event with a two-day total of 189. That total tied her for 25th place in a field of 60 competitors.
Kline opened the Tournament with a 96 on day one, before posting her Terrier career low on the final day, shooting a 93 to round out her score.
The individual title at the tournament went to Marietta College player Jackie Cunningham, who tallied a +6 (150) over the course of the tournament. The team title was awarded to Mount Union, who beat Wooster by ten strokes (688) for the top spot.
The Terriers will get back to work on Sunday and Monday, October 15 and 16 as they compete in the North Coast Athletic Conference Fall Preview Invitational. The two-day event will be played in Mansfield, Ohio.
