Women's Golf sits in seventh place after Day two of NCAC Championships

STREETSBORO, Ohio -- Senior Alexa Griswold (Conneaut, Ohio/Conneaut) fired a second round 91 to lead the Hiram College women's golf team at the first two rounds of the NCAC Championships.

The Terriers sit in seventh of seven teams with 918 strokes.

Defending champion Wittenberg holds the 36-hole lead with a team score of 618, DePauw (Ind.) is second with a team score of 649 and Denison sits third with a team score of 680.

Griswold opened play with a 109 on Saturday, but shaved 18 shots off her score by firing a 91 on Day 2. She currently sits in 28th place.

Junior Brogan Petree (Minerva, Ohio/Minerva) sits in 29th after shooting a 100 and 103, for a combined two score of 203.

Freshman Megan Kern shot a two day score of 204, which places her 30th overall.

The Terriers will compete in two more rounds of the NCAC Championships on Saturday, April 30 and Sunday, May 1 at Wooster Country Club.
