Griswold leads Women's Golf at Wooster Spring Invitational

JEROMESVILLE, Ohio -- Senior Alexa Griswold (Conneaut, Ohio/Conneaut) finished in a tie for 59th to lead the Hiram College women's golf team at the Wooster Spring Invitational.

The Terriers finished 12th of 12 teams, shooting a team score of 975.

Madonna (Mich.) took home the team title with a two-day score of 662, Denison was second with a 666 and Mount Union rounded out the top three with a 673. 

Griswold shot a 108 on on Day 1, but shaved seven strokes off her second round score, by shooting a 101. Her total of 209 was tied for 59th.

Freshman Megan Kern (Geneva, Ohio/Austinburg) finished in a tie for 61st with a 211, also firing a 101 on the second day.

The Terriers will be back at it on Saturday, April 23 and Sunday, April 24 as they host the first two rounds of the NCAC Championships. Play at Boulder Creek Golf Club is set to begin at 8 a.m. each day.
