Hiram Softball Swept in Matchup Against OWU
April 13- DELAWARE, Ohio- The Hiram College Women's softball team fell short in both matchups against Ohio Wesleyan, Friday afternoon. 
 
The Terriers dropped a 2-0 decision after falling 1-0 in game one.
 
Hiram and Ohio Wesleyan both remained scoreless through the beginning three innings,  but the Battling Bishops broke the silence scoring two runs in the bottom of the fourth to take the lead (2-0). 
 
Neither side could put together a run in the remaining innings allowing OWU to take game one with a 2-0 victory. 
 
In game two, the Battling Bishops locked down a run in the opening inning to force a 1-0 lead. 
 
In the following innings, the Terriers tried to score a run off their five hits but eventually fell 1-0 to OWU.
 
Shalynn Call led the Terriers tallying three hits on the day. Mariah Sheffield and Bebe Grein added two hits apiece.  
 
With the postponing of their doubleheader against  John Carroll, the Terriers will host Kenyon in a pair of games on Wednesday, April 18. First pitch for game one is set for 3:30 p.m., with game two to follow.
