Softball Drops Two Against Blue Streaks

UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, Ohio – The Hiram College softball team fell short in both of their games against the John Carroll Blue Streaks on Wednesday afternoon.

Hiram dropped a 5-0 decision before falling 7-0 in game two.

Alexus Acton led the Terrier offense, finishing the game with two of the three hits for Hiram. Brittany Zajac also added a single.

Both teams had strong pitching performances over the course of the day. Makenzie Dombrowski finished game two with eight strikeouts, while John Carroll's Jessica Cook notched a perfect game. Cook's performance marks a first in program history.

The Terriers have a quick turnaround as they travel to Berea, Ohio tomorrow to face the Baldwin Wallace in a doubleheader. First pitches are scheduled for 3:30 and 5:30 p.m.
