Softball Swept in Final Day of Tucson Invitational

TUCSON, Ariz. --- The Hiram College softball team fell short in their final pair of games at the Tucson Invitational on Friday.

The Terriers dropped a 17-5 decision against the Olivet Nazarene Tigers before falling 10-3 to the Lawrence Tech Blue Devils.

Freshman Shalynn Call led the Hiram offense. The freshman recorded three hits on the day, with one of them being a home run against Olivet Nazarene. The homer was the first of her career.

Makenzie Dombrowski and Kourtney Holcomb also added to the Terrier cause. The two totaled two RBIs apiece and scored three runs over the course of the day.

Hiram concludes their play at the Tucson Invitational with a record of 3-7. The Terriers will now head back home to host Mount Union in a doubleheader on Thursday, March 16. First pitches are scheduled for 3:30 and 5:30 p.m.
