Hiram Volleyball to host second-annual Division I Showcase

Hiram Volleyball to host second-annual Division I Showcase

For the second-consecutive year, the Hiram College men's volleyball team, and head coach Kyle Mars, have announced that they will kick off the men's volleyball season with a Division I Men's Volleyball Showcase, on Saturday November 17.

Three Division I programs will be making their way to the Hiram College campus to compete in a preseason tri-match at Price Gymnasium.

For the second year in a row, both Penn State University and Ball State will be in attendance, while The University of Charleston joins the action for the first time.

Along with the trio of Division I matchups, Coach Mars will be holding a boy's showcase clinic for players between the ages of 12-18.

The showcase will be held from 9:30 a.m. to noon and will learn new skills from NCAA men's volleyball coaches, as well as take part in a discussion on college recruiting and opportunities to play at the next level.

Cost of the showcase is $50, which includes admission to the clinic as well as to the matches that follow.

Following the boy's clinic, Penn State will take on Charleston at 1 p.m. A matchup between the Nittany Lions and Ball State will follow, with the Cardinals finishing up the day against Charleston at 6 p.m.
