Nov.9- HIRAM, Ohio - The Hiram College swimming & diving team competed in a dual meet against Wilmington College on Saturday afternoon.
The Terriers fell to the Quakers 140-74 on the women's side and 155-51 on the men's.
On the women's side, the 200-meter freestyle relay collected a victory in 2:18.73. The team included junior Jenna Nelson, freshman Carlee Lisser, junior Kimmy Morrison, and senior Sierra Daniels.
Lisser paced the Terriers coming in first in the 400-meter freestyle (5:08.55), and second in the 200-meter freestyle (2:26.68) and 50-meter freestyle (31.82).
Nelson captured multiple top place finishes, coming in second in the 800-meter freestyle (10:46.49), 100-meter backstroke (1:21.73), and the 50-meter butterfly (40.62).
Morrison kept the trend going clocking in a second-place time of 1:46.08 in the 100-meter breaststroke.
On the men's side, the Terriers also found success collecting multiple top place finishes.
Freshman Devin Gear posted two second place races in the 200-meter freestyle (2:45.69), and the 400-meter freestyle (5:53.74).
Sophomore Darien Street finished second in the 50-meter backstroke (34.08), and the 100-meter backstroke (1:19.42).
Sophomore Elijah Skaggs collected points for the Terriers swimming a second-place time in the 100-meter butterfly (1:03.87), and 100-meter freestyle 58.83
Senior Reeve Bowling closed out the top performances in the 50-meter freestyle (26.99), 100-meter breaststroke (1:18.74), and the 50-meter butterfly in 29.85.
Hiram will return home on Friday, November 16 as they host Franciscan at 6 p.m.
