Oct.25- GRANVILLE, Ohio- Despite an early first-half goal, the Hiram College men's soccer team dropped a 3-1 decision to Denison University on Wednesday afternoon.
The Terriers came out of the gate early, with senior Richard Milford sending a low shot past the Big Red's keeper in the ninth minute of play.
Hiram had a strong first half with a 2-1 advantage in corner kicks, and leading 1-0 at halftime.
The second half was a busy one, with the Big Red producing all three of their goals. Denison's Eric Buer tied up the score 1-1 with a header off a free kick in the 56th minute.
Looking to cement the Big Red's lead, Jasdeep Khaira responded minutes later with a goal off a free kick.
With less than 10 minutes left on the clock, Denison's Brandon Kozak scored to seal the 3-1 victory.
Sophomore CJ Keith finished the afternoon with 10 saves of the 13 shots on goal.
The Terriers will return home to take on Wittenberg in their last regular season conference game. The matchup is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 28.
