Terriers Fall Short to DePauw
Sept. 30 – GREENCASTLE, Indiana– The Hiram Men's soccer team's two-goals were not enough to hold off DePauw University on Saturday afternoon. 
 
Hiram and DePauw went scoreless for the first 30 minutes of play. 
 
DePauw's Sam Kramer crept in a goal with less than fifteen minutes before the first half, giving the Tigers a 1-0 lead at the break.
 
The second half saw five total goals. The Terriers tied the score in the 62nd minute, as Giovanni Meza found the back of the net for his team-leading third goal of the season.  
 
Justin Mitchell tallied DePauw's second goal to give the Tigers a 2-1 advantage, before senior Richard Milford tied the score again in the 71st minute.
 
In the last ten minutes of play, DePauw's Nick Carlson and Justin Mitchell sealed the 4-2 decision with the final goals of the afternoon.  
 
Hiram will be back on the road on Saturday, October 7 as they travel to Oberlin to take on the Yeomen. The matchup is scheduled for a 7:00 p.m. start.
