Oct. 15 - CRAWFORDSVILLE, Ind. - The Hiram College men's soccer team was defeated by Wabash (Ind.) on Saturday afternoon by a 2-0 score.
The Terriers now hold a record of 5-6-2 (2-3-0 NCAC), while the Little Giants improve to 8-4-2 (3-1-1 NCAC) on the season.
The Little Giants got on the board first in the fifth minute when Alexiz Arellano connected with Jacques Boulais. Boulais fired a shot past the Hiram goalkeeper to give Wabash the 1-0 lead.
The second and final goal of the match did not come until the 41st minute when David Riggs scored to make the score 2-0. Rodrigo Porras was awarded with the assist.
Although the Terriers fired nine shots in the match, none of them made it past the Wabash goalkeeper, securing the shutout for the Little Giants.
The Terriers return to action on Wednesday when they travel to Gambier to face #3 Kenyon in another conference matchup. Kickoff is set for 4:30 p.m.
