GRANVILLE, Ohio - The Terrier men's lacrosse team dropped a matchup with Denison University in their second game of a back-to-back against nationally ranked opponents on Tuesday evening.
The game was delayed with 1:16 remaining in the first quarter, and was held on delay for nearly two hours before resuming action. Following the break, the two teams decided to play with a running clock and ceased action following the third quarter.
The Big Red walked away with the 19-0 victory, scoring ten goals in the first, followed by five in the second and four more in the third frame.
Terrier sophomore goalie Liam Osborne tallied 10 saves.
Hiram will get back to work on Saturday, April 7, as the Terriers take on Wabash. The matchup with the Little Giants is slated for a 1 p.m. start. The game will also serve as senior day for both Evan Pinney and Hiram's all-time leading scorer, Nick Rollason.
