April 22 – HIRAM, Ohio – The Hiram College men's lacrosse team was dealt a 36-9 defeat at the hands of Kenyon College on Saturday afternoon.
The Terriers found themselves behind 17-2 after the first-half of play as the Lords totaled eight goals in the first quarter and nine more in the second.
The Lords came out strong after the halftime break, posting 12 goals in the frame, before tacking on seven more in the final quarter.
Hiram's offensive effort was stronger over the final 30 minutes, posting seven goals. Rollason added three more markers to his total in the second half, while Hunter Jenkins added a pair of goals. Both Justin Dionne and Stucky also added scores in the second half to round out the scoring for the Terriers.
The Lords were led by Alex Lopez and Robert Jacobs, who both finished the game with 10+ points. Jacobs, Kenyon's leading scorer coming into today, finished the game with six goals and eight assists. Lopez led the scoring with nine goals.
Rollason posted his sixth multi-goal performance in his last eight games, tallying a season-best four goals while also posting an assist. Dionne finished the game with four points, including three assists. He now holds the team lead with 16 assists on the year.
Other multi-goal scorers for the Terriers included Jenkins and Stucky. With his goals, Stucky leads the Terriers with 24 on the season, while Jenkins is tied for second with Rollason at 23 markers.
Hiram will complete the 2017 season on Wednesday, April 26 as they host Cleary College. The matchup will start at 7 p.m.
