HIRAM, Ohio -- Senior Chris Lekan (North Olmsted, Ohio/Holy Name) and senior Greg Summers (Lancaster, N.Y./St. Mary's) each recorded hat tricks, but the Hiram College men's lacrosse team fell to Oberlin by a 22-8 score on Tuesday evening.
The Terriers drop to 2-11 on the season and 0-7 in the NCAC, while the Yeomen stand at 5-9, 2-4.
This is the fourth time this season that Summers has scored at least three goals in a game. Lekan posted his second contest of at least three goals on the year.
Oberlin opened up a 6-0 lead before Lekan got Hiram on the board with 32 seconds left in the first quarter with a man-up score.
The Yeomen opened the scoring in the second, but Summers notched his first score of the night at the 12:13 mark of the period off an assist from sophomore Evan Pinney (Richfield, Ohio/Revere).
Oberlin took a 9-2 lead into the intermission.
The Terriers opened the scoring in the third as Lekan found Summers for a goal. Oberlin had an answer just 20 seconds later to take a 10-3 lead.

But Oberlin would respond with six consecutive goals in a 3:03 span to retake control of the game.
Hiram would snap the run on a goal from sophomore Jonah Austin (Tecumseh, Mich./Tecumseh).
The Yeomen scored the last goal of the period and took a 17-6 lead into the fouth.
Oberlin would outscore the Terriers 5-2 in the final frame, as Hiram was able to get two goals from Summers.
