Oct. 16 - MANSFIELD, Ohio - Led by freshman Charlie Lichtenwalter, the Hiram College men's golf team competed in the North Coast Athletic Conference Fall Preview on Sunday and Monday.
The Terriers played to an eighth-place finish over the two-day span, shooting a team total of 737.
Lichtenwalter led Hiram in the 36-hole tournament, finishing 39th with a +23. He entered the club house following day one in 25th-place by shooting a season-low 81. He then followed that with an 86 on day two, finishing with a two-day total of 165 on the Par-72, 6,910-yard course.
The freshman paced the Terriers for the second time this season. Other top finishers for Hiram included Michael Schustrich in 44th place (183), Trevor Wendel in 45th (191) and Ryan Paterak in 46th (196).
Wittenberg University took home the top team score with a 596, while the individual medal went to Ohio Wesleyan's Jack Funderburg, who finished with an even-par score of 144.
