Aaron Pobiak enters his second season as an assistant coach with the Terriers in 2018. He is primarily responsible for coaching defensive backs.

Pobiak comes to Hiram after serving a one-year stint as the wide receivers coach at Independence Community College. In one season with the Pirates, Pobiak helped ICC to unprecedented success, as the team finished tied for second in the regular season conference standings (4-3) and tallied an overall record of 5-4.

Under his tutlage as the receivers coach, a pair of Pirate wideouts earned Second-Team All-KJCCC honors, including Calvin Jackson, Jr. and Leondre James. The pair combined for 1,119 yards and seven touchdowns, with Jackson posting 13.2 yards per reception, and James, 10.3.

In addition to his duties as receiver coach, Pobiak served as the assistant strength and conditioning coach while also helping with recruiting.

Prior to his time with ICC, Pobiak coached for two seasons at Thomas Dale High School in Chester, Virginia. In two seasons, he helped turn around the program from a sub-.500 team to a State-Semifinalist program.

While with TDHS, Pobiak served as the Assistant Defensive Coordinator. He also led the defensive backs, receivers and was the strength and conditioning coach.

A certified strength and conditioning specialist through the NSCA, Aaron earned his Bachelor of Science in excercise science and physical education from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2013.
