Baseball picked to finish 10th in NCAC Preseason Poll

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The Hiram College baseball team was chosen to finish 10th of 10 team in the NCAC Preseason poll, conducted by the head coaches of the conference.

The Terriers received 17 points in the poll.

Wooster was tabbed as the preseason favorite with nine first place votes and 99 points, Ohio Wesleyan was picked second with 84 points and Allegheny (Pa.) rounded out the top three with 79 points and one first place vote.

Hiram posted a 10-27 record last season and won its NCAC Crossover Series against Wittenberg.

The Terriers will open the 2016 campaign on Sunday, March 6 with a doubleheader against Elms (Mass.) at the Gene Cusic Classic in Fort Myers, Florida. The first game is set for 3 p.m.
