Football tackles breast cancer with hat fundraiser

By: Abbey Lipcsik

HIRAM, Ohio -- The Hiram football team announced today that they will be holding a hat fundraiser during the month of October to benefit breast cancer research at the Susan G. Komen foundation.

The fundraiser will be led by head coach Henry Stanford, who started fundraising for the cause back in 2010 when he was coaching at Capital University.

The hats come in two designs and will be sold for $20 each at every home game in October, which is also designated as breast cancer awareness month. A list of home game dates and times can be found on the Hiram football website.

For those interested in purchasing a hat, but cannot attend any of the home football games, or to make an in-kind donation, please contact Henry Stanford at stanfordha@hiram.edu.
