Matt Peters enters his first season as the assistant coach of the Hiram men's lacrosse program.
Peters brings five years of coaching experience with him to the Terriers, which includes having served as head coach of both Celveland Heights High School and Padua Franciscan High School.
Currently the head coach at PFHS, Peters has served as the coach of the Bruins since 2015. In 2017, Peters was named the North Coast League Coach of the Year after lifting the team to the most wins in school history. He coached 11 players to All-NCL honors in 2017, including four all-region selections.
Along with his coaching duties, Peters serves as a personal trainer and currently works as the Director of Operations for The Fitness Doctor, a company that delivers customized fiteness programs.
Peters is a certified fitness trainer through the NCCA and also holds certifications in CPR, AED and First Aid.
Matt earned his Bachelors of Specialized Studies in sports psychology and sport management from Ohio University in 2012 and went on to attain his Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction in Sports Research from Cleveland State University in 2014. He also graduated Summa Cum Laude from CSU and is a member of the Golden Key International Honor Society.
