Bryan Pickering enters his first season as the assistant coach of the Hiram College women's basketball team.

Pickering comes to Hiram after most recently serving as the assistant varsity girls coach at Barberton High School. During his time in Barberton, he also coached the Summit County All Stars AAU 10th grade boy's basketball program which captured a tournament championship at the Grizzly Games in Wadsworth, Ohio.

Prior to his time in Barberton, Pickering spent three seasons as the assistant coach and head junior varsity coach at Northwestern High School in West Salem, Ohio. During that time he helped coach the Huskies to a Wayne County Athletic League Championship, an OHSAA Section title and an appearance in the District Finals.

Additionally, Pickering has been active in the AAU scene since 2009, where he started with the North Central Elite Boys Basketball program in Ashland, Ohio. While with the program, he coached players from 5th-11th grade and also served as a coach for the Wayne County All Stars in 2014.

Along with his coaching experience, Bryan has been a teacher since 2010, and currently serves primarily as an intervention specialist. He works for the Ohio Distance Electronic Learning Academy for grades 1-5.

Pickering earned his Masters of Education from Ashland University in 2015 and received Bachelor of Arts degrees in both Sports Management and Excercise Science from Mount Vernon Nazarene University in 2007.
